In this article, you can read what deeplinks are exactly and how to create them – both for learning activities and for themes.
This article also provides useful information to help you make the most of deeplinks.
What is a deeplink?
A deeplink is a link that navigates directly to a specific page within the academy, instead of the default homepage. This allows you to send users straight to a particular learning activity or theme within the online academy.
You can choose between a regular link or a link that works via Single sign-on (SSO). In addition, you can always decide whether to share the URL with users or generate a QR code that they can scan.
How do I create a deeplink to a learning activity?
As an administrator, you can create a deeplink through the 'Share' tab of the learning activity.
Direct link
In the 'Direct link' tab, you can generate a link where users log in with their email address and password. You can copy the link using the copy icon. You can also download a QR code that users can scan with their phone.
Single sign-on link
In the 'Single sign-on link' tab, you can generate a link that allows users to log in via SSO. Simply select your Single sign-on provider, and the SSO link will be generated automatically. You can copy this link using the copy icon. You can also download a QR code that users can scan with their phone.
For users who have the app installed, the app will open automatically after following the Single sign-on link. They log in once via SSO within the app and are then directed to the correct learning activity in the app.
Users who do not have the app installed will be redirected to the app store when they follow the Single sign-on link. After installing the app, they can follow the SSO link again.
Note!
Make sure the 'Log in with 'button'' toggle is enabled in the SSO integration.
If this is not enabled, the deeplink will not work.
Optimisation
To make the most of deeplinks, we’ve compiled some useful information:
Deeplinking is possible for the following types of learning activities:

We recommend that users download the Rakoo app. This ensures the best experience with the platform.
When a user opens a deeplink on their smartphone for the first time, they will be given the choice to continue in the browser or open in the app. The option they select will also determine how a deeplink is opened the next time.
To make the deeplinks work, they need to be clicked or the QR code must be scanned.
How do I create a deeplink to a theme?
Note!
Deeplinking to a theme only works if the “Discover” feature is enabled for the Library.
A deeplink to a theme ensures that users land on the “Discover” page, where they can find all learning activities related to that theme.
Creating a deeplink to a theme requires a bit of copying and pasting. Essentially, you create the deeplink via the “Share” tab of a learning activity.
Direct link
To create a link to a theme using the direct link, follow these steps:
Copy the link shown under “Direct link” and paste it somewhere you can edit it.
Replace “activity” in this link with “theme”.
Go to “Organise” via the menu on the left and navigate to “Themes”.
Find the theme you want to create the link for.
Click the pencil icon in the row of the theme.
In the URL, select the part after “/details/” and copy it.
Return to the direct link, select the part after “/theme/” and replace this section with the part from the theme URL.
The link can now be shared with users. When users click the link, they will need to log in with their email address and password.
The direct link to a theme looks like this:
Single sign-on link

The SSO link to a theme looks like this, for example:
Note!
Make sure the 'Log in with 'button'' toggle is enabled in the SSO integration.
If this is not enabled, the deeplink will not work.
