What are themes?

Themes are used to filter learning activities by topic, both for administrators and users. Administrators can do this via Courses, while users can filter in the Library. Additionally, users can explore different themes in a 'Carousel' in the Library. Themes are assigned to all types of learning activities, and learning activities can have multiple themes if needed.

Where can I find themes and how can I edit them?

Themes can be found in the Organisational structure, under the Themes tab. There are two options regarding themes:

  1. Using default themes

Your online academy has default themes available, so you can get started right away! You can decide whether to use these default themes. A theme only becomes visible to a user once it is assigned to a learning activity.

Are you using our Rakoo Learnings? Then, these themes are already in use and visible in your Library.

  2. Adding custom themes

You can also add your own themes if you offer learning activities that require a different theme. Here's how:

    1. Click on ‘Organisational Structure’ on the left side of the menu bar.

    2. Then, click on the ‘Themes’ tab.

    3. To create your own theme, click on the '+' icon in the upper right corner.

    4. You can then enter the name of the theme, choose an icon, and choose a background color for it. Do you have multiple active languages in your online academy? Then make sure the translations are correctly entered for the theme.

    5. Save it & you're done! You can now assign this new theme to a learning activity.

Where are the themes displayed?

For users, themes can be found on the Discover page. The themes are displayed in a 'Carousel' with an icon and background color, allowing users to browse through them. By clicking on a theme, users can view all learning activities related to that theme. Additionally, users can use the filter while searching to narrow down learning activities to a specific theme.

As an administrator, you can see the themes in the filter on the Courses page, allowing you to view all learning activities related to a specific theme in one overview.
