What are learning formats?
Learning formats are the pieces of content that make up a learning activity. For example, think of a text block, video, or question. Multiple learning formats together can then form an e-learning, microlearning, or an exam.

Where can I create learning formats?
In your online academy, you can create learning format in two ways:
In a learning activity at 'Courses'
In the Warehouse
In practice, you will create most learning formats in learning activities. All learning formats you create, will automatically appear in your Warehouse. This allows you to easily reuse previously created learning formats. In this article both ways will be discussed.
Creating content via Courses
Certain learning activities, such as e-learning and microlearning, can be set up using learning formats. Within these learning activities, you can add learning formats in the following way.
Open a 'Section' and 'Paragraph' within an e-learning or go to the 'Content' tab within a microlearning. Choose the desired learning format by clicking on the corresponding block. If you click on 'All learning formats, you will see all the available types of learning formats you can add. You can refer to the article regarding the specific learning format, to read how to add content and adjust settings.
Creating content via the Warehouse
You can also create separate learning formats in the Warehouse. By clicking on the plus sign in the upper right corner, you will see all the available learning formats you can create. Choose the desired learning format by clicking on the corresponding block. You can refer to the article regarding the specific learning format, to read how to add content and adjust settings.
If you want to add the created learning format to a learning activity, you can search it in the 'Search and reuse existing content' section within the learning activity that you are creating.

When creating learning formats, it is advisable to add learning objectives and tags. By doing so, you can easily find your content in the Warehouse. When using these options, it is beneficial to determine with colleagues beforehand which learning objectives and tags you will use. This allows for efficient utilization and helps to maintain an overview within the Warehouse.
