What are Teams?

Within your online academy you can classify the organization under Organisation Structure. This way you can ensure that employees are registered at the right company and the right department. You can also use teams in your academy, you can read all about it in this article.

Adding Teams

To add a team, go to your 'Organisation structure' and then to the 'Teams' tab. Click the '+' button to add a team. Name the team and save the changes using the button at the bottom.

What Can I Do with Teams?

  • Analysis. Teams are reflected in reports and tables, such as in My Team. This helps with analyzing the usage of the academy.

  • Assignment. You can assign learning activities to a team. This way, all users within that team are automatically enrolled in the specified learning activities. Additionally, you can assign qualifications to a team to ensure that users in that team obtain the necessary certifications.

  • Managers. Teams help you set up the management structure. Through the Management rights tab of an individual manager, you can link a manager to a team. The Managers tab of a team provides insight into which managers have access to the team. You can also add or remove managers here; however, they must already be existing managers.

  • Users. The Participants tab of a team provides an overview of which users are associated with the team. You can add users to the team using the '+' button in the top right corner; these must already be existing users. Additionally, you can remove users from the team using the trash can icon. Users can also be added to a team when adding or updating users.

Example situation for Teams

Teams can be deployed flexibly, as they are not linked to departments or companies, and users can belong to multiple teams.

  • You have a fixed team structure with manager(s). You can create specific teams and grant the appropriate managers access rights.

  • There are teams that consist of various employees from different departments or even companies. You can group them together in a team and assign (specific) managers to them.
