This learning activity allows you to collect feedback from your users — for example, on an e-learning or a Learning Playlist. You can fully structure and design the evaluation yourself, using different question types and background colors to suit your needs.

How do I create an evaluation?

  1. From the menu bar on the left, go to "Content".

  2. Click on “Add”.

  3. Choose "Inventorise & measure" and then "Evaluation" as the type of learning activity..

  4. Add the general information.

    • Title: Give the learning activity a title so you can easily find it in the library.

    • Author: By default, the academy name is used as the author name.

    • Study time: Here you can enter an indication of the study time.

    • Themes: Add at least one theme.

    • Skills: Add up to five skills here that you develop with this learning activity. This is optional.

  5. Click on "Create new learning activity"

Setting up an evaluation

You can then create multiple paths within your evaluation. Each path can focus on a different topic or section. By giving each path a unique title, users can easily see which topic or section they’re working on.

You can add the following components to each path:

  • Question: A question with several answer options.

  • Open question: A question for which users can write a free-text response.

  • Question with a video: A question combined with a video.

  • Scale question: A question where users choose from a 3-, 5-, or 7-point scale.

  • Rating question: A question where users respond using a star rating.

  • Text: Supporting content — for example, at the start of a new path.

  • Video: A standalone video.

Logical decisions within an evaluation

You can add logical decisions to multiple-choice questions and questions with a video within an evaluation. This allows you to ask follow-up questions based on a user’s previous answer.

To add a logical decision, click the two-arrow icon next to the question.

In the logical decision, you can define what should happen based on the selected answer.
For example: if the user selects Answer A, they are directed to a follow-up question on the same topic. If they choose Answer B, they are taken to a follow-up question on a different topic.

Settings within an evaluation

Within an evaluation, you can configure various settings.

  • Settings for each component: For each component you add to the evaluation, you can click the gear icon to adjust that specific component’s settings.
Below are the available settings per component type:

    • Text: Adjust the alignment or add an image.

    • Multiple-choice and questions with a video: Choose between text and image as answer options; add an image to the question.

    • Video: Adjust the alignment of the description.

    • Open question: Add an image to the question.

  • Settings for the entire evaluation: You can also apply a number of settings to the evaluation as a whole. To do this, click the gear icon at the bottom center of the content editing screen.

    • Template. Select a template for your evaluation. A live preview will appear on the right, showing how it will look.

    • Help page. Enable the Help page active toggle to set up a help page that users can access while completing the evaluation. You can use this page to provide general information and frequently asked questions.

How do I enroll my users in an evaluation?

  • Publishing: Once your evaluation is complete, you can publish it. To do this, click the "Unpublished changes" button in the top right corner of your screen.

Any changes you make afterward will not be applied automatically — they only go live when you click "Publish changes". This allows you to make updates when you're ready, without disrupting users currently working on the evaluation.

  • Activating: After publishing the content of the evaluation, you can return to the settings of the learning activity. First, change the status to "Published". Then refresh the page and toggle the "Active" switch. Once the evaluation has the status "Active", you can enroll users in it.

  • Enrolling: For how to enroll users, please refer to this article.

Results of the evaluation

To view the results of the evaluation, first locate the evaluation under Content.
Then go to the "Analytics" tab to review the results.

Evaluations are completed anonymously, so you won’t be able to see which user gave which response.
