The general settings of your online academy can be adjusted in the 'Settings' section. Here, you can make basic configurations, customize the design of your online academy, modify email notifications, and add your own terms of use. Below, you will find an explanation of what you can set for each tab.

If you don't see all the options or if you see more options, it means that you have fewer or additional permissions than what is described in this article. The following information pertains to what a regular administrator can see.

Basis settings

As the title suggests, you can make several basic configurations here:

  • Basic settings: Enter the name of your organization, a general email address, and a general phone number. This information is only visible to administrators who have access to these settings and for Rakoo to have your contact details in the platform.

  • Language settings: You can choose from Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish, Polish, Hungarian, Slovak, Portuges, Bulgarian en Romanian. Please note that these languages only affect the user interface; the content will need to be translated by you.

Missing a language? Let us know, and we can explore the possibilities for it.

  • Share the app: Share the link to the app so that users can easily access it via mobile or tablet for learning purposes.

  • Approval: If the Library feature is enabled in your online academy, you can determine who needs to give approval when a user requests a learning activity from the Library that requires approval.

Design

You can customize the look & feel of your online academy using the following components:

  • Look & Feel: Apply the primary and secondary base colors of your brand identity to the online academy. The primary colors are most commonly seen in the main navigation and important buttons.

  • Images: Replace specific images in your online academy. Tip: Read the manual for recommended image formats.

    • Logo: This is the logo displayed at the top left corner of the online academy, in the header.

    • App logo: Add the logo that appears in the app after a user logs in.

    • Favicon: Upload your own favicon. This is displayed in the browser's tab (does not work in Safari and Internet Explorer).

    • Background image login module: Change the image displayed on the user login screen.

    • Background library: Add the header that users see in the Library.

    • Background dashboard: Add the header that users see on the dashboard.

  • Certificate: Upload an image to be used as the background in certificates. By default, a white block is placed in the center of the certificate, containing user and learning activity details.

Mail

Here, you can make changes to the automatic notifications sent from the online academy. You have two options:

  • Email settings: Indicate whether users should receive emails. By default, this is enabled. You can also change the sender name. It is not possible to modify the sender address, as doing so would likely result in the emails being flagged as spam or blocked by firewalls.

  • Email templates: You can customize three notifications: Invitation users, Invitation administrators, and enrollment in learning activity. If you have multiple languages active in your online academy, make sure to customize the email for each language.

This article provides more information about the email settings.

Terms

On this tab, you can modify the terms and conditions that users must accept upon their first login. You can find more information about this in the following article.
