Custom domain name for the academy

Learn here how to change the URL of your academy to a custom URL

The default URL for your academy is customername.rakoo.com. We can change this to a URL on your own domain. We are happy to assist you in this. We will also ensure that the new URL is secured with an SSL certificate. Please contact your Customer Success Manager or reach out to support for assistance.

Steps to change your academy URL

  1. Let us know what the new URL should be. You will also need to create this URL yourself. The URL is set on a subdomain and takes the form academy.customername.nl. We do not recommend using a URL on the main domain, as the academy may become unreachable if the IP address changes.

  2. In your DNS settings, create a CNAME record that points to api.rakoo.com. It should look like this:

    Record name:            Type:     Inhoud:
    academy.klantnaam.nl    CNAME     api.rakoo.com.

    Please note!

    The period after api.rakoo.com. is part of the record.

  3. Inform us once you have made the DNS changes. We will then arrange the SSL certificate for the new URL.

  4. After the SSL certificate is set up, we will update the URL of your academy. From that point on, users and administrators will no longer be able to log in via the old URL.
