The Smart Assistant assists you in creating content. For example, you can brainstorm with the Smart Assistant about a topic for your e-learning, or make the Smart Assistant adjust the writing style of your content. In this article, we explain the different features of the Smart Assistant.
What possibilities does the Smart Assistant offer?
Brainstorming
Brainstorm with the Smart Assistant when you know the topic for your e-learning, but still need inspiration for the content. You can find the Brainstorm feature on the overview page of your e-learning, above the block where you can add the introductory text. In the brainstorm window, you enter the topics you want to brainstorm about. You can then copy the output or start a new brainstorming session.
Writing introductory texts
Let the Smart Assistant write the introduction for your e-learning, so you only need to make the finishing touches. You can find this feature on the overview page of your e-learning, above the block where you add the introductory text. Provide topic(s) that should be covered in the introduction. The output will be automatically added to the introduction of your e-learning when using the 'Use this text' button. Of course you can later adjust the text as needed.
Translation
The Smart Assistant can translate the texts from your learning activity for you. Select the text you want to translate, and click on the three stars in the menu to edit the text. Here, you choose 'Translate' and select the desired language. The 'Use text' button will ensure that the translated text is incorporated into your learning activity. You can later adjust the text as needed.
The Smart Assistant can translate into the following languages:
Dutch
English
German
French
Spanish
Polish
Hungarian
Slovak
Portuguese
Bulgarian

To translate a learning activity or format, you can first duplicate the original. How this is achieved, is explained in this article.

Lengthening
Changing the writing style
Improving spelling
To have the Smart Assistant rewrite your text, first select the text. Next, click on the three stars in the menu to edit the text, and select the desired option. The 'Use text' button ensures that the rewritten text is incorporated into your learning activity. You can later adjust the text as needed.
Generating multiple-choice questions
Based on the content of your learning activity, the Smart Assistant can generate a multiple-choice question. This is a question with three answer options, including the correct answer. This feature is available within both e-learning and microlearning formats. The question is based on the content of the microlearning or the paragraph of the e-learning. To add a question using the Smart Assistant, follow the steps below.
Make sure you're in the correct location in the e-learning or microlearning.
Click 'Question' at the bottom of the page.
Select 'Multiple-choice question.'
In the question box, choose 'Generate question.'
The question will be generated, and you can click the 'Use this question' button to add it to your learning activity.
Additionally, it's possible to try generating the question again.
You can also edit the question yourself or add extra answer options if neede
How does generating a multiple-choice question with the Smart Assistant work?
The Smart Assistant generates the question based on the content of the paragraph in the e-learning where the question should be placed. If you add the question to a microlearning, it will be generated based on the content of the microlearning. There are a few things to keep in mind when you want the Smart Assistant to generate a question.
The Smart Assistant can only generate a question based on the text in the relevant paragraph of the e-learning or in the microlearning.
The Smart Assistant cannot generate a question based on video, audio, images, or other uploaded documents.
Write your text clearly and concisely so that the Smart Assistant can understand the content.
Use clear terms and avoid unnecessary information that isn’t relevant to the topic.
Adding answer options to a multiple-choice question
Have you created a multiple-choice question with the correct answer yourself? Sometimes, it can be tricky to come up with a few incorrect answers as well. The Smart Assistant can help you complete the answer options. Follow these steps:
Make sure you're in the correct location in the e-learning or microlearning.
Click 'Question' at the bottom of the page.
Select 'Multiple-choice question.'
Add the multiple-choice question and fill in the correct answer.
With the 'Fill in answer options' button, you can have the Smart Assistant generate two additional answer options.
You can then edit the answer options yourself or add an extra answer if needed.
