Sometimes you may need to revoke a user's access to the online academy. In such cases, you can make an account inactive or delete it altogether.

For instance, if a user goes on long-term leave, you can temporarily make their account inactive. This will preserve their learning history and user data, but they won't be able to log in anymore.

If an employee leaves the company, you may choose to permanently delete their account. This article explains how to do so, whether you want to remove users manually or in bulk.

Delete an individual user

  1. Navigating:

Click on "Users" in the menu bar on the left.

  2. Find the user:

Search for the specific user using the search bar or one of the columns.

  3. Delete the user:

Click on the trash can icon next to the user's name on the right side of the table and delete the user.

Deleting multiple users at the same time

There are two ways to delete multiple users at once. You can choose which method to use depending on the number of users that need to be deleted.

Small group of users

To remove a small group of users, for example ±10 users, you can use the following method:

  1. Navigating:

Click on "Users" in the menu bar on the left.

  2. Search for users

Find the relevant users using the search bar or one of the columns. Once you have found one of the users, select that user by clicking on the square on the far left of the table next to the user ID. Select all users you want to remove in the same way.

  3. Delete users

Click on the trash can icon in the top right corner of the table and delete all selected users.

Large group of users

If you want to remove a large group of users, you can do so using the import function in user management. Choose the import icon in the top right corner of 'Users' and follow the steps below:

  1. Select the appropriate import function

Choose the action you want to take, in this case 'Delete users'.

  2. Fill in the template

Click 'Next' and download the template. Fill in all the email addresses of the users you want to remove in the template. Save the file (as an xlsx file).

  3. Upload the template

Place the file in the 'Drag & drop' box and click 'Next'.

  4. Check your import file

Here you can see if there are any users in the file that are not recognized in the system. If everything is correct, you will see the number of users to be deleted here.

  5. Delete users

Click 'Start import' to remove the users.

🚨Note:

Before deleting a user, it's important to be sure that you want to do this as this action cannot be undone. Deleting a user will also automatically remove all learning history and certificates associated with that user.
