In your online academy, there are several languages available that you can utilize. Read this article to find out which languages are supported and how to activate them.
Which languages can I use in my online academy?
The available languages are listed below.
Dutch
English
German
French
Spanish
Polish
Hungarian
Slovak
Portuguese
Bulgarian
Romanian
The default language is Dutch, but you can change it to another language. The default language determines the language that new users, administrators, and learning activities will have when created. However, you can customize the language for each individual user, administrator, and learning activity.
For example, the default language in your online academy is Dutch. This means that all newly created users will see the online academy in Dutch. However, for some users, the online academy needs to be set in English. The administrator can set this in the user's profile, and the user can also change it themselves by clicking on their name in the top right corner of the screen.
How do I activate other languages?
As an administrator (with the appropriate permissions), you can make the languages available by following these steps:
Go to "Settings" in the menu bar.
Click on the "Basic settings" tab.
Activate the languages you want to make available in your online academy at the bottom left.
Optionally, you can also change the default language here.
What should I consider when activating other languages?
Keep the following points in mind when enabling other languages:
Content will not be automatically translated; you will need to do it yourself.
For emails and terms, you will need to add the text in the respective language. By default, these fields are empty for languages other than Dutch.
Users can choose their preferred language in their account settings.
When creating users, a language must be selected.
When creating administrators, a language must be selected.
