A Learning Playlist allows you to create a personalized learning path for your users. A Learning Playlist is essentially a collection of learning activities that you’ve selected. Any available learning activity can be added to a Learning Playlist. This gives you the flexibility to build a playlist tailored to the learning preferences of your users!
How do I create a Learning Playlist?
From the menu bar on the left, go to "Content".
Click on “Add”.
Choose "Learning Playlist" as the type of learning activity.
Add the general information.
Title: Give the learning activity a title so you can easily find it in the library.
Author: By default, the academy name is used as the author name.
Study time: Here you can enter an indication of the study time.
Themes: Add at least one theme.
Skills: Add up to five skills here that you develop with this learning activity. This is optional.
Click on "Create new learning activity".
Adding learning activities
In the "Learning activities" tab, you can add learning activities from your online academy to the Learning Playlist. Click "Add learning activity" and choose which activities you want to include in the playlist. Once added, you can adjust the following settings:
Specify whether each learning activity is mandatory or optional.
Choose to unlock a learning activity only after a certain date or once a previous activity in the playlist has been completed.
You can manage these settings by clicking the gear icon on the tile of the relevant activity. Read more about these settings below.
Conditions within a Learning Playlist
Within a Learning Playlist, you can allow participants to choose the order in which they complete the learning activities.
Alternatively, you can set a required order by applying conditions.
Hoe stel ik condities in een Learning Playlist in?
Click the gear icon on the tile of a learning activity within the Learning Playlist. Here, you can configure the following options:
Mandatory: Specify whether the learning activity is required or optional.
None: This means the user can start the learning activity without any conditions.
Dependent on completion: Choose to unlock this learning activity only after a previous one has been completed. Indicate which learning activity that is.
Available after period: Define that the learning activity should only become available after a specific period has passed since the user was enrolled in the Learning Playlist.
Reopen Learning Playlist
When adding new learning activities to a Learning Playlist that has already been completed by some users, you can choose to reopen the playlist. Here’s how to do it:
Add the new learning activities to the Learning Playlist.
Click "Save changes".
Choose either "Adjust" or "Adjust and reopen".
Selecting "Adjust" will not reopen the Learning Playlist for users who have already completed it; it will remain marked as completed. However, the progress percentage will be recalculated.
Selecting "Adjust and reopen" will reopen the Learning Playlist for users who had already completed it. The playlist will reappear as "Open" on their dashboard, and the progress percentage will be recalculated. A label will be shown on the playlist tile to indicate that the learning activity has been reopened.
